As National Adoption Month comes to a close, we are reflecting on this year's theme: "Youth Voice." What better way to showcase youth voices than through their artwork? Below you will find a collection of art submissions from children and youth across the country whose lives have been touched by foster care and / or adoption.
Thanks to all of the young artists who shared their pictures with us! We wish you all the best.

Artist: Ryan, age 12
“On August 19th, our family grew from five to eight. I became a big brother to Jackson, Jadelyn, and Jasmine.”
Artist: Phelan, age 17
"The reason I drew this is because…when you get adopted, you feel loved, you feel protected, and most of all you feel happy all around. Don’t let your hope fall, because the wings of hope are there to bring you back into the light, so you can feel the strength of those who care about you.”
Artist: Anthony, age 11
"What my picture is about is that I got adopted during the coronavirus, but it was on a video call in 2020."
Artist: McKayla, age 11
“This is a picture of all the happy feelings I felt when I got adopted.”
Artist: Leah, age 10
“The picture is of a girl in foster care dreaming of her forever family.”
