On July 17, Raise the Future hosted its first Vegas Chamber Nonprofit & Friends event at our Las Vegas office.

The event brought together nonprofit leaders, local businesses, and community partners from across the Las Vegas Valley. It was an opportunity to meet new people, strengthen existing relationships and share more about the work happening at Raise the Future.

Guests toured our office, met members of our team and saw the spaces where we work directly with youth and families. During the event, our team highlighted several programs and services available to Nevada families, including day and overnight camps, trauma-informed classes, pre-service training for prospective foster parents and respite services that give caregivers a much-needed break.

“There is something powerful about welcoming people into our space and allowing them to see our work firsthand,” said Brittany Moore, Director of Communications at Raise the Future. “We were able to share our mission, highlight our programs, and build new relationships with people who care deeply about the Las Vegas community. We hope this is the first of many opportunities to bring our community together.”

The tours helped bring our mission to life. They gave attendees a better understanding of how Raise the Future supports youth in foster care, foster and adoptive parents, kinship caregivers and families throughout their journeys. Guests also learned how partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits and community leaders help expand our reach and strengthen the support available to Nevada’s youth and families.

For more than 25 years, Raise the Future has proudly served Nevada. The success of our first Nonprofit & Friends event showed what can happen when local nonprofits, businesses and community leaders come together around a shared commitment to youth and families.

Thank you to the Vegas Chamber for partnering with us and to everyone who spent the afternoon with our team. We look forward to opening our doors again and continuing to build relationships that benefit youth and families throughout Nevada.
