GENERAL POLICIES

  • Equal Employment Opportunity Policy

    Issues of discriminatory treatment, harassment, or other violations of the equal employment policy should immediately be reported to your immediate supervisor or the Director of Human Resources and, if substantiated, prompt action will be taken.

  • Grievance Policy

    It is the policy of Raise the Future to treat its clients, volunteers, funders, and community partners with fairness and professionalism and to protect the confidentiality of all client information. Clients, volunteers, funders, and/or community partners who believe they have not been fairly or professionally served by Raise the Future, or who believe that their right to confidentiality has been breached have the right to present their grievance for prompt consideration and resolution.

    If you feel you have been unfairly treated or unprofessionally served or if you believe that your right to confidentiality has been breached, please review our grievance policy and learn how to initiate the grievance process. Then download and complete the grievance form.

  • Donor Privacy and Security Policy

    At Raise the Future, we respect and protect the privacy of our donors. We encourage our donors to read this Donor Privacy Policy to understand how we treat donor information. This Policy is in addition to our Website Privacy Policy, which can be reviewed here. Questions regarding this statement should be directed to Raise the Future by sending an email to kids@raisethefuture.org. Please reference this Privacy Policy in your subject line.

    Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

    • Raise the Future collects personally identifiable data only when it is voluntarily provided to us. Such personally identifiable data includes, but is not limited to, contact information, donation information, information about events attended, correspondence with staff, and information provided by the donor in the form of comments and suggestions. Raise the Future does not ask for, or collect, Social Security Numbers from donors.
    • Donors who supply Raise the Future with their contact information may be contacted by Raise the Future for solicitation purposes and/or with information about our programs and upcoming events.
    • Raise the Future will not sell or trade any information provided by a donor.
    • If necessary, Raise the Future may release personally identifiable data about you to comply with valid legal processes such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order. Raise the Future reserves the right to use all information at its disposal to comply with legal procedures and to share information with internet service providers or other third parties, as necessary, to investigate any incident of misuse or abuse of its site, server, or information systems.
    • Raise the Future does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us.
    • Raise the Future is compliant with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). PCI DSS is a set of regulations that ensures those who accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. Additionally, Raise the Future is compliant with the Colorado Protections for Consumer Data Privacy law (House Bill 18-1128).

    Donor Options

    A donor may choose to receive a tax receipt from Raise the Future, but to remain anonymous in publications. Donors who wish to remain anonymous in publications are encouraged to notify Raise the Future at the time a contribution is made.

    All donors have the option of limiting contact from Raise the Future as they wish, including being removed from all solicitation lists. All donors also have the right to review information that Raise the Future has collected about them. To review, update, or remove that information, opt‐out of contact lists, or request to be anonymous in publications, you may contact us in writing, at 1325 S.     Donor Bill of Rights

    Raise the Future subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights, which was created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the Giving Institute: Leading Consultants to Non‐ Profits.

    Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To ensure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the nonprofit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have these rights:

    1. To be informed of the organization's mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
    2. To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization's governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
    3. To have access to the organization's most recent financial statements.
    4. To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
    5. To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.
    6. To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
    7. To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.
    8. To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.
    9. To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share.
    10. To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
  • UHC

    By July 1, 2022, UnitedHealthcare will create and publish the files for medical plans. UnitedHealthcare will create files at the product level for all customers that have a standard product that is searchable at the plan level. The files will be publicly available and posted at transparency-in-coverage.uhc.com and will be updated monthly. Staff who are eligible for these benefits should have received an email from UHC in June 2022 with more details.
