Federal Partnerships

Raise the Future has been a partner on the AdoptUSKids project since its inception in 2002. AdoptUSKids was created to increase public awareness about the need for foster, adoptive and kinship families, as well as to support states, tribes, and territories with technical assistance in diligent recruitment. As part of this work, Raise previously launched and operated the National Resource Center for Diligent Recruitment until funding for the Center ended in 2017. Raise continued to partner on the AdoptUSKids project to provide capacity building and engagement to states, tribes, and territories, focusing on the various elements of diligent recruitment.

HOW WE HELP

Raise the Future is a proud partner in two national projects funded by the Administration for Children and Families, Department of Health and Human Services, US Children’s Bureau.

DILIGENT RECRUITMENT

In 2023, the AdoptUSKids project was awarded supplementary funding to launch a new National Center for Diligent Recruitment. Raise provides universal technical assistance in this Center which includes jurisdictional capacity building, national webinars, conference presentations, peer groups, and written resources and tools to support child welfare professionals in diligent recruitment.

POST-ADOPTION CENTER

Also in 2023, in partnership with the lead organization, Spaulding for Children, Raise was a collaborating partner awarded the grant to launch the National Center for Enhanced Post-Adoption Support. This grant is designed to support states, tribes, and territories in developing and expanding their post permanency services to improve stability and long-term outcomes for youth and families. Raise’s role on this project is to provide education and technical assistance to jurisdictions interested in implementing the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TRBI®) model into their post-permanency support services. As an official ambassador of TBRI®, Raise is uniquely positioned to spread awareness of the benefits of this trauma-informed lens and practices across the country.
