CHOICE Host Information

CHOICE is designed to create lasting connections for Colorado's youth in foster care who are at risk of entering adulthood without life-long relationships with stable adults. The program provides opportunities for relationships to develop organically, with youth and adults forming relationships that are enduring and successful, and therefore creating permanent, lasting connections.

CHOICE HOSTS

Mentors in the CHOICE program are called "Hosts". Hosts commit to visiting with a youth two times a month for a minimum of one year. As a host, you will build a relationship with a youth by spending time in the community and in your home. Your most important role is your commitment to helping an older youth in foster care find permanency, either through legal permanency (adoption or guardianship) or relational permanency (long-term relationships). If you decide to become a host, we are certain you will find the experience to be rewarding.
