This two-hour training takes an in-depth look at the trauma behind behaviors, uncovering the function of these behaviors because there is a function to every behavior. Caregivers will learn to begin the process of responding to youth from a trauma-sensitive perspective. Our experiences and relationships have all laid a foundation for how we react and respond to a variety of situations and experiences. Foster and adopted youth have experienced trauma, and when trauma is woven into experiences and interactions, our parenting behaviors may become inappropriate or maladaptive.
