Attachment Styles and How to Recognize Them in Children (Part 1)

Do you ever wonder why certain kids (and adults, for that matter) react so differently to relationships? Why one kid might go silent when another one screams? Or why one plays in the corner alone while another one needs constant attention? These are examples of attachment styles in action, and understanding them is essential to raising emotionally healthy kiddos. Part 1 of this series will explore the origin of our attachment system and the four styles of relating that develop. In the second session of this two-part training, we will come to understand why attachment styles are so relevant to adoption, as well as how to tend to the different types in children. Part 1 of 2.
